Capilano offers six levels of courses (EAP 050 to EAP 100/101) covering intermediate to academic English preparatory levels. Courses focus on listening and speaking, reading and vocabulary, and grammar and writing. All courses involve Community Engagement, which encourages students to get involved with volunteer work and/or attend workshops, lectures and special events locally.

In addition, we offer an EAP 100/101 - English 100 Bridge and a direct entry path into Business and Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) programs.

EAP 100/101 - English 100 Bridge

  • Take EAP 100/101 in combination with English 100 – a required non-EAP course for most credential programs at Capilano as well as universities across Canada.
  • Receive support from both the EAP and the English department instructors to help you succeed.

Capilano offers a direct entry path into Business and Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) programs.

  • While enrolled in EAP for two terms take 15 credits which count toward a Business credential or 12 credits which count toward a ECCE credential.
  • Receive English language support from EAP instructors to help you succeed in Business and ECCE pathway courses.
