MIAMI, December 10-12, 2018 - From December 10^th to 12^th, Languages Canada (LC) teamed up with Canadian Association of Public Schools – International (CAPS-I) to promote Canadian education during the annual ICEF Miami Workshop.

NEW ORLEANS - November 16-18, 2018 - Follow the French path all the way to the Québec reception! From November 16^th to the 18^th, Languages Canada (LC), participated in the American Council on the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) 2018 annual convention and world languages expo.  

BERLIN, November 3-7, 2018 - From November 3rd to 7th, Languages Canada (LC) teamed up with Canadian Association of Public Schools – International (CAPS-I) and Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) to promote Canadian education during the world's largest agent networking event, the annual ICEF Berlin Workshop. 

The Languages Canada Syrian Refugee Initiative was launched in 2015, at the height of the Syrian refugee crisis. At the time, Canada's refugee plan committed to welcoming 15,000 Syrian refugees, with full government sponsorship.

TORONTO, October 29-30, 2018 - Languages Canada is proud to have co-hosted, with Orion Assessment Services, representatives from the world’s leading English language education quality assurance organizations. Quality Assurance Language Education Network (QALEN) is a very important body for continuous improvement in standards and accreditation internationally.

SANTIAGO, October 1 - 3, 2018 - Languages Canada brought sixteen members – representing universities, colleges, and private sector language programs – to Santiago, Chile to meet with over 30 high-quality education agencies from Chile, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia and Uruguay.

On August 20^th, Languages Canada formalized a new partnership in Mexico, with the Consorcio de Universidades Mexicanas (Consortium of Mexican Universities/ CUMex) – an association comprised of 30 public, state universities across 29 Mexican states which include more than 1,000,000 students and 150,000 teachers.

Nearly 150,000 students enrolled in Languages Canada (LC) member programs in 2017, up 10% from 135,425 in the previous year. Overall student weeks also increased, from 1.5 million in 2016 to 1.61 million in 2017.

From July 9 to 27, Languages Canada, English School of Canada, the Canada Homestay Network and eight other Languages Canada members collaborated on the delivery of a unique professional development and international partnership-building program for a delegation of seven institutional coordinators from Brazil’s Paraná Speak English program.

Ottawa, July 20, 2018 – From Halifax to Victoria, thousands of international students will take a time out from learning English or French today to celebrate World Student Day (WSD). The festivities will take many forms: BBQs, soccer games, amateur artist competitions, zumba, kung-fu, speeches . . . Students from all corners of the globe will showcase their unique talents in a spirit of sharing and exchange.
