Announcing the Professional English for Talent Development in Strategic Industries Scholarship Program

Languages Canada is proud to announce the signing of an agreement Monday with the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology of Jalisco state (SICyT), Mexico, and the Universidad Tecnológica de Jalisco (UTJ) to launch a new scholarship program to support talent development in strategic industrial sectors, including Electro-mobility/Zero Emission Vehicles, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Technologies, and Data Science/Analytics.

The program, taught by selected Languages Canada members, aims to equip 315 participants (students, professors, young professionals) with increased language skills in their fields and will run from February to August 2025 through a series of virtual and in-person technical English programs.

The scholarship program is generously co-funded by Global Affairs Canada, and has been developed with the support of the Consulate of Canada in Guadalajara. Participating Canadian institutions will be selected through a competitive Call for Proposals process, administered by Languages Canada, which will launch in the coming days.
