Languages Canada, the national representative body of Canada’s Official Languages education sector, is proud to announce a strategic partnership with BorderPass, a leading Canadian immigration legal service, built and supported by a team of licensed lawyers and powered by technology. This collaboration aims to clarify and improve the visa application process for newcomers, visitors, and international students and offer critical support to education agencies and institutions navigating evolving immigration challenges.
This innovative partnership provides education agencies, Canadian institutions and international students access to BorderPass’s cutting-edge platform at reduced cost and increased value. As visa application processes become more complex and Canadian immigration policies become stricter, this initiative ensures that students can submit complete, accurate, and IRCC-compliant applications with the oversight of licensed legal professionals, and access post-refusal support including appeals and judicial reviews.
"This partnership addresses a vital need in our sector," said Gonzalo Peralta, Executive Director of Languages Canada. "International students—and the agencies and institutions that support them—deserve a streamlined, trustworthy pathway through the visa process. BorderPass, a recognized, respected, and innovative Canadian legal service and platform, brings transparency, compliance, and affordability to the table."
A Unique Offer with Tangible Benefits
Through this collaboration, students accepted into Canadian programs and their representatives now have access to the full suite of BorderPass’s services, including:
- Expert legal review and submission of study permit, TRV, and extension applications.
- Post-refusal support including appeals and judicial reviews where appropriate.
- Ongoing guidance for students throughout their time in Canada, including post-graduation work permit applications and tools for planning permanent residency pathways.
For educational institutions and agencies, the partnership offers:
- Better prepared applications, leading to stronger outcomes.
- Support that helps reduce errors and delays.
- Reduced internal administrative costs.
- Affordable access to appeals processes and insights into visa refusals.
- Ongoing updates on IRCC policy changes.
Collective Action to Support Student Success
Both Languages Canada and BorderPass recognize the urgent need for better outcomes and integrity in international student immigration. With institutions and agencies playing a critical role in student success, this partnership empowers them with a toolset designed for the realities of today’s immigration landscape.
“By combining our legal and technological expertise with Languages Canada’s trusted position in the sector, we can help more eligible students succeed—and support agencies and institutions in doing the same,” said Jonathan Sherman, Head of Partnerships at BorderPass.
