As you may know, the Brazilian Association of International Education (FAUBAI) annual conference has become the largest and most anticipated international education event in South America, with expected participation of close to 1000 delegates from around the world. Languages Canada will be present at the 2018 conference to raise the profile of the association in Brazil; position language education as a central and indispensable aspect of the Canada-Brazil internationalization agenda; promote our existing partnerships (including delivering two parallel sessions with Languages without Borders and Paraná Speaks English programs); gather intelligence on government programs and funding opportunities; and explore new partnership opportunities for Languages Canada members. There will also be a strong presence of the Government of Canada (EduCanada branded pavilion) as well as representatives of other Canadian education organizations (e.g.CBIE, CALDO, Mitacs).
Join us! The FAUBAI conference presents LC members with valuable opportunities for partnership-building and intelligence gathering. A coordinated presence of LC members helps to raise the profile of the association and language education opportunities in/with Canada. Languages Canada has applied for Government of Canada funding via the Global Opportunities for Associations (GOA) program to offset 50% of the cost of travel, per diem and registration for up to five representatives of LC member programs.
