Release of 2018 Annual Report on Language Education in Canada

Languages Canada is pleased to announce the release of the 2018 Annual Report on Language Education in Canada.

Previous iterations of this report were titled the Languages Canada Annual Survey Report. This year’s new title is reflective of the continuous improvement of the survey and report, which have evolved from when the association first started collecting data from members 10 years ago. This year, Languages Canada engaged the services of a respected independent research firm – BONARD, to collect and analyze the survey data, include more data points, and provide more in-depth analysis. Working with an external research firm has allowed the survey to expand its scope both within Canada and abroad. For the first time our research included non-LC member language programs as well as members, providing an even broader data set from the Canadian language education sector. The report also provides comparative data on Canada’s position in the global language education market, vis-à-vis primary competitor countries. We hope that this expanded data and improved, independent analysis will strengthen the impact of both our advocacy work and international marketing activities and support our members in making the best possible decisions for your programs.

The full text of the report is available free of charge to LC member programs.   It is available for purchase by non-members by contacting: info@languagescanada.ca.
