Languages Canada completes successful trade mission to Russia and Ukraine

Languages Canada – Canada’s national association for English and French language education programs in Canada – has just wrapped up a successful trade mission to Moscow and Kyiv which brought together 19 LC member programs and 34 high quality education agencies from Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Poland. Close to 700 B2B meetings took place between participating LC members and attending agencies during the week-long mission. 

Languages Canada members welcome scholarship students from Aguascalientes and sign new partnership agreement with Jalisco, Mexico

Languages Canada was in western Mexico last week to celebrate and solidify strategic partnerships with the states of Aguascalientes and Jalisco.

On August 20th, LC’s Executive Director, Gonzalo Peralta, joined by representatives from Sheridan College, Heartland International English School and Lakehead University, participated in a farewell ceremony in Aguascalientes for a cohort of scholarship students bound for Canada this fall. The Bécalos - IEA-Santander 2019 scholarship program is sending 60 top undergraduate students from Aguascalientes to Canada from September to December 2019 for a full semester, entailing 3 audited courses in students’ areas of study plus a complementary English for Academic Purposes program. The program was designed and is administered in partnership between Languages Canada and the Technical University of El Retoño.

Languages Canada signed agreement with Consortium of Mexican Universities

On August 20th, Languages Canada formalized a new partnership in Mexico, with the Consorcio de Universidades Mexicanas (Consortium of Mexican Universities/ CUMex) – an association comprised of 30 public, state universities across 29 Mexican states which include more than 1,000,000 students and 150,000 teachers.
