Established in 1979, the University of Calgary English Language Program (ELP) has a longstanding tradition of providing challenging and student-centered English instruction to motivated learners.

ELP resides in the heart of Calgary - Canada's third largest city and the host of the 1988 Winter Olympics. This safe, clean and friendly city is a gateway to Canadian Rockies. Students in our full-time programs enjoy the University of Calgary’s 213-hectare campus and its facilities including libraries, a student center (cafeteria, medical center, shops) and a recreational center (gym, swimming pool, Olympic Oval – world-class skating facility).

ELP provides both full-time and part-time English language courses for students whose English levels are from high beginner to upper advanced. For students with academic goals, we offer the Academic Communication Certificate (ACC). Students completing the ACC with a grade of B+ or higher will meet the English language proficiency requirement for admission into applicable University of Calgary undergraduate programs.

In a high-quality learning environment with our professional instructors, we offer exciting learning opportunities on and off campus ensuring the best possible international experience. Our highly acclaimed program will give students the skills to realize their dreams.
