Preliminary Admission to UVic through Intensive English (ELPI)

Learners applying to UVic undergraduate degree programs may apply for "ELC Preliminary Admission," which will give them up to 24 months to satisfy UVic's English language proficiency requirement and then begin degree studies without re-applying. They can qualify by registering in the ELPI program.

Conditional Admission to UVic through University Admission Preparation (UAP)

This advanced English program is for learners who meet UVic's academic admission requirements except for English proficiency. Many UAP learners qualify for Conditional Admission, with a passing UAP grade, satisfying the English requirement for entry to their UVic undergraduate or graduate degree program.

UVic Pathway Program

This first-year program allows learners to meet UVic's English language requirement while completing academic credit courses as part of their undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria.
