Languages Canada is pleased to announce Dr. Denise Abreu e Lima as the keynote speaker for the upcoming Bridges to the Future annual conference to be held in Ottawa-Gatineau, March 1 to 4, 2015. By using language as one of the foundations for Brazil’s internationalization efforts, Languages Without Borders is changing the way the world understands language education. As the keynote presenter, Dr. Abreu e Lima will share her vision of language education, the strategic objectives of Languages Without Borders, and its implementation process.

Languages Canada announces winners of the English Without Borders scholarship prize

Languages Canada, the association representing Canada’s 227 English and French accredited language education programs, awarded two English Without Borders scholarships last Thursday, Dec. 11, to Olivia Maria Santos de Lima and Miller Eliézer Cunha e Silva from the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. The awards were presented by Gonzalo Peralta, Executive Director of Languages Canada, Denise Abreu e Lima, President of Languages Without Borders at the Brazilian Ministry of Education and Anna-Karine Asselin, Minister-Counsellor and Head of the Political Section at the Embassy of Canada, during the inaugural Languages Without Borders Congress in Brasilia, Brazil.
